My Favourite Summer Essentials From Yves Rocher

When it comes to skincare a lot of you will know by now that Yves Rocher are one of my favourite brands. I’ve always been so impressed with their products and I know whenever I use them my body is in for a right treat. With summer just lurking around the corner I’ve been looking for those perfect summer products that will get me in the mood. Yves Rocher has such an amazing range of beauty and skincare bits, so I thought I’d share with you some of my favourite summer products in their range to help get you in the sunshine mood.
I don’t know about you, but just the name of this hair and body wash screams summer. I’m not too sure what Monoi de Tahiti means, I think it’s the name of the scent, but it sounds very tropical and Hawaiian to me and it’s exactly what it smells like! If I was to imagine what Hawaii would smell like I’m pretty sure it would smell like this wash, it's so beautiful. Think tropical beaches mixed in with exotic flowers and a little bit of coconut thrown in too. If I close my eyes long enough smelling this I’m whisked away, I promise you.

As for an actual body wash, the blue gel lathers up really nicely and your whole body smells like a tropical paradise. It does say that wash can be used as a shampoo as well as body wash. If I’m honest I’ve always been a little put off by products that claim to do both, but I thought I'd try this wash as a shampoo too to see how well it worked. I have to say I was really impressed; It lathered nicely in my hair and my hair smelt incredible even after washing. So if you're looking for a luscious smelling treat for your hair and body I'd recommend giving this ago.

Another product that I've been trying out in the Yves Rocher Monoi de Tahiti range is a bit of a luxury one and I love it. This is a dry oil and as you can see from the picture has been filled with shimmer and sparkle (my kind of product). This dry oil is in no way greasy, smells gorgeous and is the perfect item to enhance your tan. The oil does a great job at adding a bit of moisture into your skin (I love using it on my legs) and once its absorbed your left with a subtle bronze shimmer which looks so beautiful especially when the sun catches it. If you're planning on getting your pins out this summer, this is such a must have beauty beauty product. The oil will give your skin that warm sun kissed healthy glow and the subtle shimmer of this oil combined with the exotic smell of Monoi de Tahiti will make you feel as though you've been on your holidays.

Another Yves Rocher product I've been using on my hair is the Low ShamPoo, which is like no other shampoo I've ever tried before. The Low ShamPoo takes the idea of the 'no poo' concept where you don't use any shampoo on your hair whatsoever. However I don't think I could ever not wash my hair with shampoo, even though most shampoos do contain sulphate and silicone which they say is not always great for your hair. Yves Rocher have brought us the Low ShamPoo which is more like a cleanser for your hair rather than a shampoo. To be honest, before using this I didn't know what to expect. I'm one of these girls who likes all the bubbles when I wash my hair. When I used this there were no bubbles at all and you really have to work and massage the product into your hair. However the results are amazing. Every time I use this my hair feels so soft and looks incredibly healthy and if you're suffering from dry or damaged hair I'd recommend giving this new type of shampoo ago. I still love my regular bubbly shampoos that lather up, but this is great to give my hair a weekly no shampoo treat.

The last hair product that's made its ways into my regular haircare routine is the Yves Rocher Rinsing Vinegar. This again is another one of those luxury but not essential products. After I've shampoo (or no poo-ed) and conditioned my hair, I'll coat my hair in the magical rinsing vinegar. This stuff honestly smells so amazing and reminds me of a drink, if it wasn't a hair product I may be fooled to thinking it was drinkable. The raspberry scented vinegar not only smells amazing but leaves my hair looking so shiny after I've used it. I think as the weather warms up it's really lovely to have shiny healthy looking hair and adding this extra step in the shower is so worth it. It only takes seconds to apply and it really makes such a noticeable difference to my hair, I love it!

So there we have it so summer beauty essentials from Yves Rocher. I would love to know what products are getting you in the mood for summer? Are you a fan of Yves Rocher? Let me know in the comments below.

Makeup Revolution Pro Go Set - For Makeup On The Go

Makeup Revolution Go Pro Makeup Brushes, Makeup Revolution, Makeup Brushes

Makeup Revolution Go Pro Makeup Brushes, Makeup Revolution, Makeup Brushes

If you’re anything like me and a sucker for anything that comes in miniature form (especially when its beauty related) then I promise you that you’re going to love todays post. Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the last year then it’s more than likely you will have heard and seen rave reviews about Makeup Revolution and their constant flow of exciting releases for us beauty addicts. A few months ago Makeup Revolution added their first sets of makeup brushes to their line which went down a treat amongst us beauty bloggers. You only need to read a few reviews to see that Makeup Rev got it spot on when designing these brushes. The word amazing comes to mind.

Well Makeup Revolution have added to their make brush collection this month and have brought us four essential brushes for applying our makeup in miniature form! WOW! Other than the obvious that these brushes are super cute, they’re also really practical and worth picking up, especially if you love doing your makeup on the go.

Let me start with packaging. I love the design of these mini makeup brushes. First of all the rose gold colouring on these brushes is enough to make me swoon a little bit (who doesn’t love a bit of rose gold these days?). The handles of the brushes are just the perfect size, not to small that it’s impossible to do your makeup, and not so big that it takes anything away from the miniature design. Each handle feels sturdy and when I’ve used these I feel that I can do my makeup just as accurately and precisely as if I were using regular sized makeup brushes.

Makeup Revolution Go Pro Makeup Brushes, Makeup Revolution, Makeup Brushes

Each brush has been made with the finest dual fibre synthetic hair, which makes them feel really soft on your skin. I also love how these brushes pick up just the right amount of product thats required, which is always a must with any makeup brush.

What really gets me excited about these makeup brushes is that they’re the perfect size for your handbag and on the go. I’m one of these girls who will always top up my makeup though out the day, but find it frustrating that my makeup brushes take up more than half the contents in my makeup bag. Not only that, but bigger brushes always leave a trail of mess behind in my makeup bag. Anything that’s black in there is sure to come out with a foundation marks and flecks of powder which I always find really annoying as I’m a bit if a neat freak. The Pro Go set comes in a clear plastic wallet which you can use to store your brushes in which means a clean and tidy makeup bag too, which is a nice little bonus!

Makeup Revolution Go Pro Makeup Brushes, Makeup Revolution, Makeup Brushes
Makeup Revolution Go Pro Makeup Brushes, Makeup Revolution, Makeup Brushes

I can just see these makeup brushes being so handy, perfect for everyday, perfect for travelling and so perfect for any of you heading to any festivals this summer. The kit contains four brushes, one being a face brush, the second a foundation brush and the other two an eyeshadow and angled brush, which pretty much covers all the basics. Another huge plus is that these mini brushes will only set you back £5.00 which makes them such a bargain, there really is no excuse not to pick them up.

I would love to know what your thoughts are on these mini makeup brushes. Are you a fan of everything miniature too? Let me know in the comments below.

Mac Honeylove | My Favourite Shade Of Nude

Mac Honeylove Review, Mac Lipstick
Mac Honeylove Review, Mac Lipstick
Mac Honeylove Review, Mac Lipstick

Theres a new love in my life and would you believe it, its another nude lipstick from Mac. I honestly feel like a woman obsessed right now, my love for everything nude, especially nude lipstick is getting a little out of hand. I'm not exaggerating either, I'm talking nude nail polish, nude clothes, nude accessories... you get the idea. I promise you that I'm not walking around looking like a manikin, I'm just enjoying all the different shades of nudes. There's something about the colour thats refreshing, classic and ladylike which I love.

The Mac lipstick in question and the one I'm obsessing over right now is Honeylove. This lipstick for me is the perfect nude and really gives you that 'your lips but better' look. Out of all the nudes that I own Honeylove has to be the most natural looking to wear and really gives your lips a lovely wash of beige colour. If your still loving the nineties lip (like me) then this lipstick is a makeup bag essential I promise you. As nude as this lipstick is, I do find that it leans a little bit on the pink side which makes it really wearable and doesn't wash me out at all.

Mac Honeylove Review, Mac Lipstick

Honeylove is one of Mac's matte finishes which means its so long lasting and highly pigmented. I know some people can find the formula of the mattes to be a little drying and have that tendency to drag across the lips, but this isn't a problem for me. I personally love matte formulas and Honeylove is very comfortable to wear and as long as my lips are in good condition it looks perfect on.

I honestly love this lipstick so much and if your looking for a new nude to add to your collection this is the one that I would recommend.

Are you still loving the nude lipstick trend? Let me know in the comments below.

Invisibobble | The Only Hair Bobble You'll Ever Need!

Invisibobble, Hair Bobble, Hair Tie, Black Invisibobble
Invisibobble, Hair Bobble, Hair Tie, Black Invisibobble

If you had a little look at my most recently blog post (a Boots haul... here) you will have seen that I picked up a pack of Invisibobbles. In all my time blogging I never thought I would be blogging about hair bobbles, but these are seriously so amazing that I simply had to share with you all. Invisibobbles are my latest obsession and since buying this pack of three I've had one either permanently in my hair or around my wrist.

Incase your wondering what the fuss is over these hair plastic spiral hair ties, these bobbles sit so comfortably in your hair and when your ready to take your hair down you're left with no nasty kink or  marks in your hair where the hair bobble has been. Now I have no idea how this works, but these bobbles are magic I'm sure of it because they actually work.

Most evenings I will go to bed with my hair tied up. My hair is so thin and because of this I'm always left with a horrible mark left in my hair the next morning. This always means that I pretty much have to do some sort of updo that day just to disguise the kink that will be there until I next wash my hair. Even when I need my hair up for a short while, regular elastic rubber bands leave behind that dreaded which is so  annoying.

Invisibobble, Hair Bobble, Hair Tie, Black Invisibobble

I picked up the Invisibobbles purely to sort my kink troubles out and I've been amazed at how well they work. It's such a great feeling being able to sleep with my hair tied up and leave it down the next morning. What I also love about these bobbles is they actually feel very secure in my hair and although the hair bobble does stretch after use, it always manages to shrink back down to the size of my wrist for its next use.

Again another problem that I some times get with regular hair bobbles is that they can sometimes cause me to get a headache, especially when I'm wearing my hair up all day at work. Now I've not had these bobbles long enough to say they've left me headache free, but so far so good. They really do sit very comfortably in your hair.

I honestly can't see myself using regular hair bobbles again, with so much hype surrounding these bobbles I was a bit sceptical at first, but after trying them I can see what all the fuss is about. To say they have changed my life is a bit extreme, but my mood can easily be changed on the state of my hair and the Invisibobble so far has given me some great hair days - So yes these have changed my life and I love them.

As you can see I'm in love with the Invisibobble and can't recommend them enough! I would love to know what your thoughts are on these hair bobbles? Do you agree with me that their life changing? Let me know in the comments below.

Mini Boots Beauty Haul - Makeup and Haircare Essentials

Boots Haul - Makeup, Sleek, Charles Worthington, Haircare, Invisibobble
Makeup, Sleek Blush By 3 Lace Palette, Sleek Contour & Highlight Palette, Sleek Makeup, Sleek Blush

It's that time of the month again when my bank balance is feeling a little more healthy after being paid, and what do I do come every payday... Pop into Boots of course. Although having said that I bought everything you see in this post today last week so maybe my bank is not as healthy as it was, especially as I've just booked my holiday, which I can't wait for. On most my most  recent trips to Boots I've just picked up the essentials which haven't really been worthy of a haul post, but as Boots had the 3 for 2 offers on pretty much everything I picked up some new beauty bits and thought I'd share them with you all.

First of all when did Boots start stocking Sleek? I've always been a huge fan of Sleek products, especially their blushes but I'm not really a fan of Superdrug so I never really pick up anything from the brand. I spotted the little Sleek section in my Boots and actually did a little jump for joy and it was inevitable that some of the products were going to make its way into my basket. Around this time last year I picked up the Sleek Blush by 3 Lace palette which is the most beautiful and perfect blush palette for spring. Sadly I dropped mine and the cracked blush went everywhere so I just had to pick up a new one. If you would like to see the full review of that palette and swatches you can find that post here.

Another Sleek purchase is one that has been so hyped about in the beauty blogging world and that is the Contouring and Blush palette. Now I'm going to hold my hands up high here and say I love a good contour and recently I've become a little bit obsessed with trying out new products that will give me those Kim K cheek bones. I bought the palette in the shade medium which works perfectly for my skin this time of year. What I really love about this palette is that it has three beautiful shades that really work amazingly at contouring and highlighting your face. The contour shade is this deep matte bronzer that blends beautifully and really adds definition and depth to your cheeks. The highlight compliments the bronzer perfectly and isn't too shimmery either which I love. Expect to see this palette in a full review soon.

A product that I had really been wanting to trying and another one which has been massively hyped up on beauty blogs are the Invisibobble's, I spotted them in Boots and just had to pick up a pack. I went for the black ones as I though they would work perfectly in my dark hair. What really appeals to me about these funny looking hair bobbles is that they are supposed to leave your hair kink free. My hair is very fine so whenever I pop a hair bobble in I'm always left with a dodgy kink, especially if my hair has been left in a pony tail over night. I've been wearing this in my hair around my wrist everyday since picking the Invisibobbles up and I can see what all the hype is about, they're amazing. You get three in one pack and they're so weightless and comfortable in your hair and most importantly don't leave behind any nasty kinks, amazing!

Charles Worthington Volume and Bounce Texturising Spray and Body Booster Mousse

The next two items to be popped into my Boots basket were repurchases. I am in love with Charles Worthington haircare products, especially the Volume and Bounce Texturising Spray and Body Booster Mousse. Like I said earlier my hair is really thin and really lacks volume and bounce, so I'm forever using products that will help uplift it at the roots and enhance the thickness of my hair. These two products work perfectly in my hair and have become essentials in my morning hair routine, I'd highly recommend them. Also how pretty is it pink vibrant packaging?

So there you have it, my mini Boots Haul. I would love to know what makeup and haircare bits you've been picking up recently and what your thoughts are on the bits I picked up. Are they favourites of yours?

How To Get Beautiful Flawless Skin With Claudia Louch Foundation

Claudia Louch Flawless Finish Foundation
Claudia Louch Flawless Finish Foundation
When it comes to foundation I would say I’m definitely one of those girls who loves something full coverage, pretty much any time of year. There are many reasons for this, the main one being I have oily to combination skin so it means anything that is sheer, dewy and basically anything that feels light as air is just not going to stay put on my skin. So annoying right? The one positive side to my somewhat slippery skin has to be that I’ve tried and tested my fair share of full coverage and mattifying foundations and I love to share them with you all. Foundation can be so hard to get right, so I feel that it’s important to share the best and worst of the bunch.

One foundation that I’ve been loving over the last few months has to be the Claudia Louch Foundation as it is one of those foundations that worked its way onto my top list as it ticks all the boxes. For me I find this foundation to have great coverage and it does an amazing job at smoothening out my skin and covering up any blemishes or redness that I would much rather hide from the rest of the wold.

When it comes to skin care, Claudia Louch has an amazing range, her products are all plant or mineral based and leave my skin beautiful every time they're used. Recently Claudia Louch has released her Natural Skincare makeup and the foundation I've been trying is one of the best I've tried.

Claudia Louch Flawless Finish Foundation

One thing that truly makes this foundation great is that I find it to be really long lasting and it works perfectly with my skin type. Whenever I wear this I need very little touch ups and only then I only really need to powder my nose and forehead which is standard for me. What I find with most foundations that are full coverage and provide that ‘stay matte’ effect is that they can leave your skin looking a little dull and unfortunately it’s really hard to find the best of both when it comes to foundation. However, having said that, this foundation does give my skin a little pick me up and adds a little brightness to my complexion which I love.

Blending is also no trouble at all with this foundation, again it does feel fairly thick on the skin at first but with a good foundation brush (my favourites is the Real Techniques) it works into your skin and creates a great base for the rest of your makeup. I love that flawless skin look and this foundation makes my skin look flawless every time, even when I'm not having a great skin day.

Claudia Louch Flawless Finish Foundation

As you can see there are so many reasons as to why I currently love this foundation, it really is lovely to use and it's so important to have a great base for the rest of your makeup. Clauidia Louch also has a few other foundations in her range including a high definition one and one with a mousse formula which are going straight onto my wish list.

I would love to know what your current favourite foundation is, especially if you have a similar skin type to me. Let me know in the comments below.

Happy Easter everyone, I hope you're all having a lovely bank holiday weekend and eating lots of chocolate, I know I'm guilty. I always feel as though Easter really is the start of spring and I just love how spring like I'm feeling today. The weather is absolutely beautiful, not a cloud in sight, the sun is shining and I've managed to get bank holiday Monday off work which a lovely little bonus for me.

I was feeling very spring like with my outfit choices today and thought I'd share it with you all, its been a while since my last outfit of the day post. To reflect the weather and my mood I'm wearing this bright printed floral sweater from Blue Vanilla and my ripped Topshop Leigh Jeans, paired with some heels from Missguided. And of course my Raybans - Standard.

I have fallen head over heels in love with this sweater as it's the perfect spring wardrobe piece. The print is vibrant, fun and will liven up any look. March Favourites | Mac, Clinique, Instagram & More ...

March Beauty Favourites, Instagram, iPhone, Mac Honey Love, Mac Lipstick, Smashbox Full Exposure Mascara, Clinique
March Beauty Favourites, Instagram, iPhone, Mac Honey Love, Mac Lipstick, Smashbox Full Exposure Mascara , Clinique Facial Soap, Makeup Revolution I heart Obsession Palette

I can't believe another month has gone and I'm sat here with a hot chocolate typing up another monthly favourites post for you all. I know I say this all the time, but I can't quite believe how quickly the months as passing by, it's crazy. I have to admit I'm pretty much love the fact that we are now in spring, talk about good vibes. Theres been a lot of spring related post go up on my blog over the last month, and if you've seen them you'll know that I've been swapping things around in my makeup bag and beauty regime, which can only mean lots of new favourites. So if you want to see what I've been loving over the last month be sure to get comfy and keep on reading.

Makeup Revolution I Heart Obsession Palette - Pure Cult

My first favourite of the month has to go to the new Makeup Revolution I heart Obsession Palette in Pure Cult, I've been reaching for it everyday as it has those perfect spring shades. Pure Cult has a great mixture of shimmer and matte eyeshadows with a great colour range that works perfectly for everyday wear. I am loving the pink toned shades in this palette as I think they create a really soft girly look and for me spring is all about fresh minimal makeup, so this palette really is perfect. The quality of these shadows are great as they're highly pigmented and blend beautifully, at only £3.99 it's amazing value for money and worth picking up.

Clinique Facial Soap

The last month I went a bit mad on skincare, I had a lot of new products to try out but one that really stood out above the rest was the Clinique Facial Soap. I picked this up towards the end of February mainly because I was feeling a bit fed up with my skin and was wanting to try something new. Clinique has always been a strong contender in the beauty world, especially for skin care and their award winning three step system. I remember when I was growing up my mum would use the facial soap bar and to this day still uses it - I'd just like to point out right now my mums skin is amazing. I don't think I've ever used a bar of soap to cleanse my face and remove my makeup before, but I have been converted. This soap really is amazing, it's gentle on my skin, removes all traces of my makeup and I've not had a bad skin day since using it, which is some statement to make. I won't go into too much detail as to my I love this cleanser so much as I have a full review of it coming up very soon, but it's a winner I promise.

Smashbox Full Exposure Mascara

Out of all the beauty products available to us I think mascara is the one beauty product that can be difficult to get right. I don't know about anyone else but I feel that I'm always falling in and out of love with different mascaras. One mascara that has been a huge hit with me is the Smashbox Full Exposure Mascara. First of all the brush is not a plastic, it's a full thick bristle brush which are always my favourite as I find they coat my lashes with a lot more precision. Secondly the Full Exposure Mascara gives my lashes plenty of volume and lengthens them dramatically - You really can achieve that false lash effect with this mascara. I also really love the formula with this mascara, it feels very thick and heavy but it doesn't make your lashes clump, even as it the product begins to dry out. I'm almost finished with this tube, but it will definitely be a repurchase for me.

Mac Honeylove

Let me introduce you to Honeylove, the latest edition to my Mac Lipstick collection. As you can probably tell from all my lipstick posts this year, I am a woman completely obsessed when it comes to nude lipsticks. I had been eying up Mac Honeylove for sometime, picked it up at the beginning of the month it's quickly become a new favourite of mine. This nude lipstick really gives that 'your lips but better' look which I'm loving right now. Again I find this shade works perfectly for spring, its neutral and works well with my everyday makeup. I'm love paring this lipstick with a slightly darker lip liner just to create a fuller pout.

March Beauty Favourites, Instagram, iPhone, Mac Honey Love, Mac Lipstick

My last favourite is not a beauty favourite, but one that I am so obsessed with right now. Of course I'm talking about the most popular app ever ... Instagram. I've been using Instagram since the early days, before hashtags where even used on there - Remember that? Over the years I've always posted pictures that I like at the time, but over the last month I've decided that it was time I upped my Instagram game. I really want it to be a reflection of me and extension of my blog, so I'm trying to stick with a theme and keep continuity throughout my pictures (it really isn't as easy as it looks). Stepping up my Instagram game means that my obsession for the app has reached a new level and I'm loving it. I'm looking to follow more beauty accounts, so if I'm not following you be sure to leave your Instagram link below and I'll take a look. You can find me at @sunshinesprkle I would love it if you could follow.

So that's all my favourites this month wrapped up. I would love to know what you've been loving and if any of my favourites match yours let me know.

The Perfect Kylie Jenner Pout | Mac Brave Lipstick

Mac Brave Lipstick, Kylie Jenner Pout, Kylie Jenner Brave
Mac Brave Lipstick, Kylie Jenner Pout, Kylie Jenner Brave

Nude lipsticks have taken the beauty world by storm over the last year or so and whenever I wear a favourite nude of mine I can't help but do a quick Kylie Jenner pout in the mirror (sad I know). I think what makes nude lipsticks so great is that with the right shade, a complimentary lipliner and a good use of contour you can create the illusion of a much fuller pout. If your lips are on the thinner side like mine and your pout is lacking a little bit, you will know that the struggle is real and we need all the help we can get.

The most popular lipstick and the most difficult to get hold of in my collection has to be Mac's Velvet Teddy; a lipstick which is worn by Kylie Jenner herself and showcased beautifully with that perfect pout of hers. Now whilst I'm probably Velvet Teddy's biggest fan I do think that for spring it is a little on the darker side of nudes and I really wanted something a little lighter and brighter, but rock that nineties lip at the same time. I had seen Mac's Brave pop up everywhere on the Blogosphere and with it being another KJ fave I knew I just had to have it in my collection.

Mac Brave Lipstick, Kylie Jenner Pout, Kylie Jenner Brave

Mac Brave Lipstick, Kylie Jenner Pout, Kylie Jenner Brave

Since picking up Mac Brave I've worn it pretty much non stop and its permanent home is in my everyday makeup bag. Mac describe their satin finish lipstick as pink beige with white pearl and it is exactly that. For me it's the perfect pink toned nude which looks beautiful on for this time of year. This is the first satin finish lipstick that I own from Mac, my usual preference is the mattes or amplifiers as their super pigmented and long lasting. I have to say I've fallen in love with the satin finish of this lipstick, its super creamy, highly pigmented and long lasting all at the same time. It really is so comfortable to wear, and the pearl finish just gives this lipstick a little more depth and dimension on your lips, which of course helps to enhance that perfect pout of yours.

I think Brave would suit all skin tones and I find the dusty pink tones to this lipstick really help to brighten up my complexion, especially when I'm feeling a little pale. It also works with so many different makeup looks, which is why it's found a permanent home in my makeup bag. I think its fair to say its become a new favourite.

Mac Brave Lipstick, Kylie Jenner Pout, Kylie Jenner Brave

I would love to know if you love Mac Brave as much as I do? And if your still loving the Kylie Jenner pout, be sure to let me know in the comments below.
