I think I say this every time the seasons change, but I just love changing up my makeup and picking lipsticks, blushers and colours that really reflect my mood and the weather outside. Summer has officially started now we're in June and for me I always gravitate towards Corals when it comes to some of my makeup choices. I think it's the only time of year where coral shades look best, they look great with a tan and for me its the ultimate summer colour. Today I thought I'd share with you all some of my favourite coral picks to show you how I'm working my favourite colour this season.

Going for a coral nail polish is by far the easiest way to wear coral this summer, I think it suits everyone and whenever I paint my nails in this shade I instantly feel more summery. My favourites would have to be the Barry M Gelly High Shine polish in Papaya and Models Own in Coral Reef. When it comes to nail polish Barry M and Models Own are my favourites, I love the formulas and find the polishes so easy to apply. Papaya and Coral Reef are no exception to this as they apply great. I love how Papaya is almost a pastel version of coral whilst Coral Reef leans more on the red side with its bight and vibrant tones. Both of these shades look great with a tan and are two of my go too nail polishes this time of year.

Moving on to lipstick, my top coral shades that I'm reaching for are Makeup Revolutions Lip Lava in the shade Unleash and Revlon's Colour Bust Matte Balm in Audacious. Both of these lipsticks are very similar in terms of their shade but the finishes are so opposite and I love having the choice to pick between the two. If you love super high glossy finishes then the Lip Lava is the lipstick to go for. What I love about 'Unleash' is that it's so bold, super pigmented and really makes your lips the vocal point of your makeup look. Even though this lipstick is so glossy, its incredibly long lasting and once the gloss part starts to wear off you're left with beautifully stained lips. The Revlon Colour Bust is completely the opposite and has a very matte finish. I like to make sure my lips are well prepped before using this as it can cling on to any dry patches, which is not a good look. If you've read my blog for some time you know that I prefer matte finishes when it comes to lipstick, so I probably reach for the Colour Bust more, but both of these shades are just gorgeous and if you're wanting to fully embrace coral this season then these are the two you need in your collection.

No coral look would be complete without adding the perfect coral blush! One palette that I constantly reach for during the summer months has to be Sleek's Blush By 3 Lace. This palette has the perfect trio of coral blushes and when it comes to blusher, Sleek are some of my faves. I spoke about the Lace palette quite a bit on my blog (review here). In the palette you have three gorgeous but completely unique coral shades of blush. Crochet (left) is a very orange toned coral, Guipure (middle) is your shimmery coral shade and Chantilly is more of your pink toned coral. All three of these shades look gorgeous on and they are the perfect mix of corals. I think Guipure has to be my favourite and is a great dupe for Nar's Orgasm.

Last but by no means least is the MeMeMe Coral Blossom Cheek and Lip tint, it's a great dupe for the Benefit Cha Cha tint but for a fraction of the price. I love wearing this shimmery coral toned tint in the summer, especially when I'm having one of those minimal makeup days. I think this tint just adds such a gorgeous radiant glow to your skin and looks really natural once applied. I'm not too keen on wearing this on my lips but used as blush or highlight on your cheeks it looks so pretty on. It's the perfect makeup item to give you a sun kissed look with minimal effort, I love it.

So there we have it, a little touch of coral makeup that I'll be using over the summer. I would love to know what makeup you reach for over the summer months and if you're a fan of wearing coral this season please let me know what your favourite bits are?

Lots of Love
